Assassin’s Creed free games: Two Ubisoft Discovery Tour titles are available right now

This week, Ubisoft announced that players will be able to download two free Assassin’s Creed games that’ll help pass the time and educate them during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The developer and publisher is offering free downloads of its well-received educational tours of ancient Greece and ancient Egypt.

This means that you can jump into the worlds of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and soak in the rich environments, well-researched history and accurate representations of historical characters entirely for free.

You can download Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece and Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt from Ubisoft’s website – just make sure you’ve got a Ubisoft Uplay account first.

Whilst this means you won’t get to play through the missions or experience the story of either game, it still gives you a chance to wander around the complete, incredible worlds of Greece and Egypt, pumping your mind full of facts the whole while.

“Travel throughout 29 regions and uncover hundreds of stations with tours on 5 different themes: philosophy, famous cities, daily life, war and myths to learn more about history of Ancient Greece,” Ubisoft says of its Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece.

“The Discovery Tour allows you to roam freely in the beautiful world of Ptolemaic Egypt,” the developer notes on the other Tour. “Learn more about its life, habits and customs by yourself, or let historians and Egyptologists guide you on one of the 75 available historical tours they have curated.”

It’s worth noting that these experiences, really, are very good. Attracting praise from museum creators, historians and other developers in the gaming industry, Ubisoft really has done something special with these tours, and if you can check them out, you should.

We recommend anyone with kids interested in history to get these experiences before they expire on May 21st.
