Blizzard Drops New Gameplay Trailer for ‘Diablo Immortal’
During BlizzCon two years ago, Blizzard unveiled a new mobile game based around its Diablo franchise named Diablo Immortal, made in partnership with Chinese mobile games expert NetEase. Now, the two have dropped a fresh trailer showcasing the title’s most updated gameplay, explaining some of its development’s progress.
The almost three-minute video itself was released during ChinaJoy, one of China’s largest gaming conventions, and has since gone live on the game’s Chinese website, although it has yet to get an English equivalent on Blizzard’s western domain. Aside from giving fans a closer look at Diablo Immortal‘s gameplay, which is largely reminiscent of Diablo III, the clip also provides brief introductions to the six different playable classes, also coming from the game’s PC predecessor, including the Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard. As a little gem for Diablo II fans, Baal also makes an appearance, suggesting his return as an important — if not the main — antagonist in the game.
There’s currently no official release date yet from Blizzard regarding Diablo Immortal, but the company revealed during a recent investors’ call that it plans on testing the game sometime this summer. For now, you can head over to Blizzard’s website to pre-register for the game.
