Adele’s ‘new boyfriend’ is actually Alan Carr’s husband in case of mistaken identity
Alan Carr ‘s husband was incorrectly identified as Adele’ s new boyfriend in a hilarious case of mistaken identity.
The singer, who is divorcing her husband Simon Konecki, was spotted yesterday holding hands with a ‘mystery fella’ at Celine Dion’s BST gig in London’s Hyde Park.
But the man she was with was actually Alan’s husband Paul Drayton.
The trio are such close pals that Adele even hosted their wedding in her back garden in LA and conducted the ceremony herself after getting ordained.
After the rumour mill started churning, comedian Alan stepped in to clear things up.
Sharing one of the pics on Twitter , he said: “Adele’s new man is well fit”
“Nice of you to loan him out,” one of his fans joked.
Another asked: “Why aren’t you on the other side making an Adele sandwich?”
And another quipped: “I KNEW you were a secret throuple!!!”
Adele, who shares six-year-old son Angelo with husband Simon, recently announced they were splitting after three years of marriage.
Her representatives said in a statement: “Adele and her partner have separated.
“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
The Chatty Man host tied the knot with his long-term partner in January, last year.
Alan had already revealed that his best pal Adele got secretly ordained so she could marry her friends at a ceremony she hosted in her garden in Los Angeles.
Adele revealed in April that she’d led the ceremony.
She wrote on Instagram : “Seeing as the cats out the bag. I married two of my best friends in January.
“You know me any excuse to dress up… chattyman #LoveisLove.”
Alan had told ITV’s This Morning that Adele had not only gone to the trouble of organising his wedding, but that she played a very special part in the ceremony.
He told hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal: “She got ordained and she married us. She is the kindest and most sweetest.
“She flew us to Vegas to see Celine Dion sing. She [Adele] sang my first dance. It was the best day of my life.”
