Bella Hadid Takes the Combat Boot to the Extreme
As an in-demand model, Bella Hadid’s Paris Fashion Week schedule is hectic, to say the least. The unpredictable marathon of going from show to show demands, then, a shoe that’s capable of keeping up with the fast-paced nature of the collections.
But it can’t be only a practical shoe, it also has to look cute—there are paparazzi and street style photographers awaiting at every corner, after all. So this week, Hadid solidified her footwear of choice: she was seen stomping around the City of Light today in extreme combat boots.
With hefty lug soles and a mid-calf length, the model’s clunky shoes are sturdy enough to sprint to a show, but still make a fashion statement at the same time.
(Heels? Forget about it.) To offset the severity of her punky shoes, Hadid styled them in a sweeter, more casual way: she wore a pink double-breasted blazer with a matching button-up shirt (both by Vivienne Westwood), teamed with a pair of light-wash jeans, which were tucked into the shoes.
For a dash of model flair, she slipped on a baseball cap—with the New York Yankees logo on it, talk about an American in Paris—and further accessorized with tiny sunglasses and her favorite ’90s-inspired shoulder bag.
So, considering her sister Gigi Hadid has been also making the case for grungy Dr. Martens boots as well? It looks like the fall It shoe is all about taking the plunge—the grunge plunge, that is.
