Stranger Things’ David Harbour promises answers and ‘Indiana Jones style action’ for Hopper in season 4
Stranger Things’ David Harbour has promised major questions about Hopper will be answered in the much-anticipated season 4.
Season three left people stunned with the apparent death of the grumpy cop, who had become the adopted father to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in the 80s sci-fi tale.
But it was confirmed this year that in a major twist, he had actually survived the attempt to close the nuclear portal that had supposedly killed him, and instead he was now in Soviet Russia being held as a prisoner.
Now the actor has warned that his journey back to Hawkins, Indiana will result in a lot of revelations about this consistently angry character.
Speaking to Deadline, the actor said: ‘I’m really excited to let people see these really deep colors in him.’
‘Each season we see a different side of him,’ he explained. ‘Last season was… a bit wackier, and I loved playing that.
‘Now [in Season 4] he is painted in a bit of a darker palette; he’s able to express some of these really deep things that we’ve… hinted at with the boxes in Season 2.’
‘It’s very epic. There are monsters and horror and scares,’ the star teased. ‘There’s also some great Indiana Jones-type action.’
The nine scripts for the next season were confirmed to have been finished, which will bring ‘a new horror to the surface, something long buried and something that connects everything.’
