Bomb suspected in Barcelona and Madrid: Train stations evacuated
Spain’s capital city of Madrid and train stations in Barcelona were evacuated Tuesday morning due to suspected bombs.
Barcelona’s Sants train station was evacuated after the bomb threat. Spanish police officials announced the evacuation of passengers from two trains at Sants de Barcelona train station.
The statement was sent to the scene of the event, after the notice received at the local time of 08:00 in the morning. It was recorded that the experts examined a bag that could be a bomb assembly. Officials announced that the evacuated trains are fast trains on lines 3 and 4.
The train stops for a period of time due to the bomb alarm started again.
After a bomb report in Barcelona, Spanish security officials decided to evacuate Atocha Renfe, the main train station in Madrid.
Spanish police have not yet announced the evacuation of Madrid.
