The European Football Championship in 2024 will be held in Germany. This was stated by the president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Aleksander Ceferin, reports Reuters.
The decision was made following the results of the vote of the UEFA Executive Committee. The only competitor of Germany in choosing the host country was Turkey.
The closest European football championship will be held in 2020. In connection with the 60th anniversary of the championship, it will be held in various European cities. In particular, one of the quarterfinals will be held at the Zenit Arena in St. Petersburg, and the final and semi-finals at the London Wembley Stadium.
