NASA introduces residential projects for life in Mars
NASA chose the finalists of the housing project competition for astronauts to live in the Red Planet. The designers who presented the top 5 projects shared the $100,000 among them. The designs were published on NASA’s official site.
The US Agency for Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has set the finalists for the housing project competition, which was held in 2014 and could be used by colonists living on Mars, where 18 contestants from around the world attended.
According to the project of the team from the US state of Arkansas and winning the contest, the robots will find the materials needed to build houses on Mars, and then the homes will come to life with the help of 3D printers. The designers stated that the houses would be built as modules and that they would have as much space as they wanted and thus would accommodate as many people as they would like.
