Arsenal May Recall Spanish Midfielder From Real Madrid Soon
Dani Ceballos made a good account of himself while on loan to Arsenal but now finds himself hardly utilized at Real Madrid.
This is despite the productive spell he had with the Gunners last season on loan, being part of several title conquests.
With the Spanish player hardly seeing action, critics feel that he is likely to be on the move soon.
That could come as early as the January transfer window unless his fortunes change at Santiago Bernabeu.
El Nacional suggested that the Gunners are keeping a close eye on Ceballos. After being part of Arsenal’s FA Cup, his run has stumbled since returning to Real Madrid.
However, the Gunners are not the only ones reportedly interested in the services of the attacking midfielder. Juventus and Real Betis are also allegedly monitoring the situation.
There is also Roma lurking from behind, with Jose Mourinho believed to be interested in bringing him to Rome.
Ceballos is hoping to earn his place in the first team, something that Real Madrid may not be able to give. Arsenal could be the team that can hand that opportunity to shine.
He credited club boss Mikel Arteta as one of the reasons for his improvements, a reason why he stayed with Arsenal.
While there is no questioning the fact that Ceballos could get more chances with Arsenal, there are factors to consider. The Gunners have some midfielders in the mix such as Sambi Lokonga and Granit Xhaka.
Charlie Patino is also another player who is rising among the ranks. Ceballos’ familiarity with the Gunners is an option, but there is no guarantee that he can return and have the same impact as he had the last time he was with Arsenal.
Only Arteta can figure out if there is still a place to accommodate the Spanish midfielder with the first-team appearing to be all filled up.
