Chelsea boss Frank Lampard outlines Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer stance
Frank Lampard has insisted Bayern Munich-target Callum Hudson-Odoi is still an integral part of his Chelsea plans.
The England winger played in the Blues 4-0 thumping of Crystal Palace yesterday despite German giants Bayern confirming they want to sign him on loan.
Asked about Bayern’s interest, Lampard was adamant he would like to keep Hudson-Odoi – but admitted the player’s wishes need to be taken into account.
The Chelsea boss said: ‘’He’s absolutely part of my plans here. We need options on the wing and what Callum showed in the second half today is exactly what he needed to.
“There is no definitive answer to Bayern’s interest, but by Monday we’ll know a definitive answer.
“Everything that happens will, firstly, be good for the club because Callum is our player. But what Callum wants will come into consideration. It has to.
Meanwhile, Lampard revealed a heated row between Tammy Abraham and Jorginho over taking Chelsea’s second penalty yesterday had been resolved.
Jorginho had already converted one in the 75th minute before Abraham tried to grab the ball off him for the next.
Skipper Cesar Azpilicueta intervened and Italian Jorginho, the club’s designated taker, scored Chelsea’s fourth of the game.
Lampard explained: ‘’It’s been dealt with in the dressing room.
“I don’t mind a bit of conflict and Tammy being put in his place.
“They are the rules. You don’t jump the list, even though it was probably youthful exuberance from him in making the mistake.”
