Erling Haaland sends Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea message over his future
Erling Haaland has poured cold water on speculation he will be joining one of the Premier League giants this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund sensation is a target of both Manchester clubs and Chelsea after establishing himself as the most wanted striker in Europe.
The Norwegian hitman has plundered 39 goals in 36 games for club and country this season.
He has a £70m release clause in his contract that will be activated in June 2022 – and Dortmund could be willing to sell him to the highest bidder in the summer transfer window.
The Bundesliga outfit could demand up to £140m for the 20-year-old, whose agent Mino Raiola admits will have the pick of Europe’s biggest clubs should he decide to move on.
But with Barcelona and Real Madrid going through financial troubles, it has left the likes of Manchester City, United and the Blues in pole position to make a move.
City boss Pep Guardiola has identified Haaland as the man he wants to replace Sergio Aguero and will come up against him when his side meet Dortmund in the Champions League quarter finals next month.
United rival Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, meanwhile, knows he has to sign a world class No.9 if he is to lead his side back to the top again.
It is expected to result in a huge scrap for Haaland’s services in the next transfer window.
But Haaland, who is under contract at Dortmund until 2023, is remaining coy about his future and admits he is not worried about all the rumours about him.
He said: “I still have a three year contract (at Dortmund), so I am not concerned about that.”
