Franck Ribery heads to Florence on board private jet ahead of £3.6m-per-year deal with Fiorentina
Franck Ribery is on his way to Florence by private jet as he nears a move to Fiorentina.
The Bayern Munich legend became a free agent this summer and has found his new home in the Tuscan capital.
Ribery, 36, posted a picture of himself on board the flight on his Instagram story on Wednesday morning.
He put both thumbs up and was seen sitting in a leather chair behind a wooden table.
The word ‘allez’ was written about and Ribery is expected to be greeted by hoards of expectant Fiorentina fans upon arrival.
After landing at the airport in Peretola with his wife Wahiba, the Frenchman will complete the finishing touches of his deal.
He is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with a salary of £3.6million-per-season.
Vincenzo Montella’s side will be desperate for the experienced winger to help the team improve on their 16th place finish last term.
La Viola begin their Serie A campaign by hosting Napoli on Saturday.
