Jack Grealish’s cryptic response to Man Utd transfer speculation
Jack Grealish has got supporters talking after sharing a cryptic post on his social media accounts.
There is speculation that the Aston Villa attacking midfielder could join Manchester United in the near future, with the Red Devils reportedly lining up a bid for the player.
It is not yet clear whether the two clubs will be able to agree a fee, however, with Villa said to value Grealish at around £75m.
The 24-year-old has remained tight-lipped about his future, but took to Instagram on Thursday to post a picture of himself with his fingers in his ears.
Some have suggested the picture relates to him ‘shutting out the noise’ as the rumours about his future continue to grow.
One supporter responded to the post by saying: “He’s not listening,” while another added “Jack ignoring interest in him. You love to see it.”
Grealish’s goal in the 1-1 draw against West Ham on the final day of the season saw Villa stay up at the expense of Watford and Bournemouth, and before the game he failed to give too much away about his intentions for the future.
When asked if it may have been his final game at the club by Sky Sports ahead of the match, he replied: “I’m not too sure at the moment.
“I have one aim and that’s to keep this club in the Premier League. This whole club, this whole fanbase knows where we belong.
“That’s all I’m thinking about at the moment, keeping this club in the Premier League. Hopefully we can do that on Sunday.”
It remains to be seen whether United make a bid in the coming weeks, with their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer known to be a big fan of Grealish.
