Man Utd ace Paul Pogba wants Juventus transfer and considers Italy ‘second home’

Paul Pogba still considers Italy his second home, and wants to return to play for Juventus, his agent has revealed. Mino Raiola confirmed that the Frenchman wants to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

Pogba is expected to leave Old Trafford during the summer.

The French midfielder has apparently told his team-mates at United that he wants to leave the club at the end of the season.

He has endured a torrid time in this campaign, having suffered an ankle injury which has kept him out of the side.

Pogba has only played seven games for the Red Devils this season, and has hit the headlines for his actions off the pitch more often than on it.

The playmaker had been tipped to leave the club last summer, but Real Madrid were unable to afford him.

Now, however, it appears he will push for a return to Juventus.

The 26-year-old made 124 Serie A appearances during his time in Turin, and the Italian champions are keen to sign him back in the summer.

And speaking on Wednesday night, Raiola confirmed that Pogba would look to return – but only after the European Championships.

“Italy is like a second home for Pogba,” Raiola said after Juve’s Copa Italia game with AC Milan.

“He’d like to come back to Juventus but we’ll see what will happen after the Euros.

“Pogba wants to play at the best level but he can’t escape by Man United if they’re in a difficult situation.”

The Euros take place just weeks after the conclusion of the Premier League season, leaving next to no time to do a deal beforehand.

The transfer window will be open until later in the summer this year, however.

Unlike last year, the window will now close on September 1, giving teams well over a month-and-a-half after the end of the Euros to conclude any deals.

And that could be key to Juve’s bid to sign Pogba, especially considering Raiola’s comments about wanting to wait until after the competition is over.

Selling Pogba could help United fund moves for Jack Grealish, James Maddison, Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham, who have all been linked with the club.
