Man Utd set to move to secure early signing of £53million star
Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with the Dayot Upamecano for quite some time and reports suggest that the Red Devils are set to move to hire his services.
According to The Sun, Man Utd are set to move to beat Liverpool to the signing of the French international. It is stated that the Old Trafford outfit are nearing a £55million transfer.
The British source have mentioned that Upamecano has got a release clause of £38million that can be activated in the summer and since the Merseysiders are not going to sign any center back this month, Solskjer could move to get his signing done.
Similarly, Mirror Sport have also revealed that the two English giants will battle to hire the Les Bleus star.
Since Liverpool owners have told Klopp that there is no money to sign a CB in the middle of the campaign, it is claimed that Ole could move to steal march on their rivals for the 22-year-old this month.
To hire the services in the winter transfer window, Man Utd could have to splash a fee of 60 million euros (£53million) as per renowned German source Sport Bild.
We did concede 6 against Spurs earlier in the campaign and leaked goals on regular basis but in the past month, Solskjaer has been able to strengthen things at the back.
We managed to keep a clean sheet at Anfield and have only let in 2 goals in the past 6 league fixtures. So, do you think that we really need to sign a central defender? Getting the Leipzig star away from the hands of Liverpool would surely be brilliant.
Upamecano is the leader of the defense at RB Leipzig and he has consistently performed well under the management of Julian Nagelsmann. Last season, he was heavily praised by Old Trafford legend Rio Ferdinand for his display against a top Atletico Madrid side.
