‘Nothing changes’: Ian Wright states Tottenham man was at it again for his country last night

Ian Wright praised Tottenham forward Gareth Bale for producing ‘the quality’ for Wales once again during their 3-1 win against Finland in the UEFA Nations League.

The former Arsenal striker shared that ‘nothing changes’ when it comes to the quality of pass Bale can deliver to his teammates, as he laid a ball on a plate for Harry Wilson to score the opening goal.

This is good news for Spurs fans because, as the games progress, it seems as though their left-footed maestro is getting back to his best, and at a crucial time.

Wales reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, and with Bale leading the charge once again, Wright has backed them to cause havoc once more.

“That’s what Gareth Bale does in that area [10 yards from the box] nothing changes,” said Wright. “From the quality [of the pass and assist to Wilson running through on goal] and everything that he has got comes out in abundance in that little area.

“Wilson has just gone [made the run inside the penalty area]. He doesn’t actually break his stride, brilliant pass and it’s a great finish.

“Defensively they [Wales] are very sound. They just need to knick a couple more goals and with Gareth Bale, people running off them, that kind of form from Daniel James and Moore coming off the bench. They are going to cause people problems.”

Now that Bale has had a few months to get back to his best once again, the real test will start now for the Welshman and Spurs themselves.

There are some making shouts for Spurs to win the Premier League title and if that is to happen then Bale needs to join this Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son party.

Both have been outstanding on the club scene this season and it could be argued that they are the two in-form players in the league.
