Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane ready to complete surprise Arsenal transfer
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane could move for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer. The Spanish giants are ready for a busy summer transfer window. Real have been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz of Bayer Leverkusen.
And according to French outlet Le10 Sport, Real boss Zidane is also eyeing Arsenal youngster Guendouzi.
They say Zidane is a big admirer of the France international, 21.
Real see Guendouzi as a long-term replacement for Casemiro at the Bernabeu.
However, Real face competition for the Frenchman, with Barcelona also tracking Guendouzi.
Le10 Sport add that Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Leicester would also move for Guendouzi if the Gunners opt to sell the midfielder.
Arsenal are in for a busy summer transfer window, with the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the main talking point.
Aubameyang has been linked with Barcelona, while Inter Milan and Juventus have also been credited with interest in the striker.
A lot has been made of Aubameyang’s future, with Manchester United hero Louis Saha backing the Gunners’ top scorer to head to Old Trafford.
“Arsenal fans may not like this, but I’d like him to join United, I’d be very happy with that [laughter],” Saha told compare.bet.
“I’m sure Arsenal fans would not take that well, but that’s my advice to Auba.”
Aubameyang is out of contract next summer, meaning Arsenal could be forced to sell him this summer to command a transfer fee.
Gunners hero Thierry Henry has offered Aubameyang advice on how to make his decision.
He said: “Listen everybody will do whatever they have to do. How am I going to say to somebody to stay when I left?
“Things happen, but that doesn’t kill the love you have for a place. But as an Arsenal fan you want them to stay.
“If you’re an Arsenal man you don’t want him to leave, but also the guy has a career and I don’t know what’s in his head or where he wants to go.
“But all I know is that we’re definitely going to miss his goals if he does leave.
“Because at the end of the day, I said it when I was at Sky, he was that kind of a thing. He does score goals and if you take the goals of Aubameyang away, it’s a tough one.”
