Tottenham Hotspur linked with shock loan move for ex-Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey
Wales and Juventus star Aaron Ramsey is being linked with a shock move to Tottenham.
The midfield ace who spent a decade with Arsenal is being offered to their biggest rivals, according to The Sun.
Reports emerged on Friday that Ramsey was being put up for sale by Juventus as they seek to make cutbacks., with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal on alert.
Juventus are keen to land Paul Pogba and could offer Ramsey as part of any deal to entice the France World Cup winner away from Old Trafford.
Manchester City and Spurs are also being linked with Ramsey, with a possible loan deal being mooted for a return to north London.
That would mean Spurs and Juventus could each pay towards Ramsey’s £400,000 a week bumper salary, say reports.
Ramsey joined Juventus on a free transfer last summer, but was left out of their Coppa Italia semi-final clash with AC Milan at the weekend.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Ramsey’s talent and will be keen to explore any opportunity of improving his midfield. The loan option is one that will interest Tottenham, although whether Ramsey would be prepared to sign for Asenal’s biggest rivals is another matter entirely.
Ramsey spent 11 years with the Gunners after signing from home-town club Cardiff City in 2008, making 369 appearances and scoring 64 goals including two FA Cup final winners.
